Wolf Claw Print

The Timber Wolf ("Canis lupus") prowled and fed along the mighty Chilkat River in Haines, Alaska (See area photos below). The major predators all gather along that particular river in late October and November because it is one of the last salmon runs of the season...an easy way to put on fat before the long winter. This cast is a powerful and beautiful reminder of the spirit of the fierce and elusive wolf. This cast measures 5”x5”x2” and weighs about 14 ozs.
